The Mefo MOM 18-1 is a standard (not extreme) mousse. It is built to last and is more dense than the extreme range. Saying that, it is really versatile, depending on what tyre you pair it with.
When you need a stiffer set up fo faster riding like traditional enduro, slippery grass or fast fire roads, such as Erzberg Iron Road Prologue, fit it in a Mitas EF07 single green 140/80-18 or Mitas EF07 yellow 140/80-18.
For hard enduro the MOM 18-1 works nicely in a larger volume 140 such as the Mitas Terra Force 140/80-18 Single Green, Yellow or Double Green. It is slightly smaller inside the tyre and therefore gives a similar feel to an extreme mousse. It will also work in the even larger volume 140’s like Michelin and Metzeler but won’t last quite as long.
Bear in mind your weight as a rider, as this will also have an impact on how a mousse and tyre set up feels for you. For example, a light-weight rider would be able to use the Terraforce with the 18-1 for faster riding and might be better choosing a softer mousse for hard enduro.
